What is the difference between the n5a and n6a




















Now-a-days you got all that extra weight above the cervical spine and you take a lick hard enough to have caused penetration, figure in the inertial force and you're damn lucky to not break your friggin' neck. Oh but that's cool NFPA, it didn't go through the helmet it only broke his damn neck and now he's paraplegic.

Leather is nice on a wall Think about it!!!!! Look out of your melon, do some research, don't go with leather just because Tom, Dick, and Harriet did. I was just ohhhhing and ahhhhing over a nice leather with some real history behind it, and wished I could afford it, for my wall, not for my melon protection, it isn't the best one god issued, my melon that is but its mine and I wanna keep it at least relatively the way it is.

N5A is lighter. That or the 5A is the way to go. Most of the guys on the job around here wear them. Don't listen to the NFPA police. I have both lids. My lid of preference is the N5A. The manufacturer has to install the eye protection to make it the high and mighty NFPA version. I hope this helps. That's the reason for the "quick connection" on the helmet mounting post.
